Hi, I'm Holly.

Your Nonfiction Book Bestie

Book + publishing coach for impact-driven business owners who want one damn good book to bring in more clients, land more paid speaking gigs, and get their work get noticed, shared, and talked about.

Why Most Nonfiction Books Fail After Launch Week

You’ve seen it happen. Your business bestie published a book, celebrated that fleeting “Amazon bestseller” badge for approximately 37 seconds, and then… silence. No speaking gigs. No media attention. Definitely no surge in clients. Just a pretty paperweight sitting in boxes in their garage (because they, for some reason, didn’t use print-on-demand). Why do most nonfiction books fail after launch week?

Why does this happen so consistently in the coaching and online business world?

Because most nonfiction business books are written in a way that completely loses both the reader’s interest AND their trust.

It’s Not You… It’s Bad Books…

You’d think because I literally work with books (and LOVE BOOKS) that I would devour 3 a week. But in recent years, I’d noticed that I couldn’t get through nearly as many books as I used to.

And for awhile, I blamed myself for not finishing business books—I was starting to think maybe I was stupid for feeling like I couldn’t get through them. With my ADHD brain, I’d get excited about a promising title, dive in eagerly, and then find myself completely disengaged by chapter three.

“Maybe I just can’t focus long enough,” I’d tell myself, adding it to the mental list of ways my brain supposedly worked against me.

Then I had a breakthrough realization: it wasn’t me — these books were genuinely terrible. Not because the authors didn’t have valuable knowledge to share, but because they used absolutely zero strategy in how they presented that knowledge.

They were classic cases of all fluff and no structure.

The Business Book Problem Nobody Talks About

While most book coaches focus on gimmicky marketing tricks and those temporary “bestseller” tags, they completely ignore the psychology of what makes readers:

  1. Actually finish a book
  2. Implement what they learn
  3. Trust the author enough to buy their higher-ticket offers

The problem isn’t that business owners don’t know their stuff — they absolutely do. The problem is translating that expertise into a format that builds genuine trust while keeping readers engaged from page one through the conclusion.

This matters because a book that sits unread on someone’s Kindle or collecting dust on their nightstand isn’t working as a business asset. It’s not generating speaking gigs, attracting dream clients, or creating passive income streams.

Evidence-Based Book Strategy That Actually Works

After years of studying reader psychology and how humans genuinely learn and retain information, I developed a framework that transforms expertise into books that actually work as business assets.

My approach focuses on strategic narrative structure based on how our brains process and connect with information. When implemented correctly, this framework makes writing your book surprisingly straightforward — and makes reading your book an experience your audience can’t put down.

The result is books that:

  • Position you as THE go-to expert in your niche
  • Pre-qualify ideal clients who arrive already 80% sold on working with you
  • Open doors to paid speaking opportunities (real ones, not the “exposure” kind)
  • Generate consistent sales long after launch week
  • Create multiple revenue streams from a single intellectual asset

Beyond the Bestseller Badge

Can you still get that Amazon bestseller badge using my approach? Absolutely. But that’s just a tiny bonus compared to what a strategically crafted book can do for your business.

The coaches and consultants I work with aren’t interested in vanity metrics. They want books that function as genuine business assets — working 24/7 to attract ideal clients, position them for premium opportunities, and drive real revenue growth.

Several clients have added an extra $50k+ annually through their books — not just from direct sales but from the opportunities those books created. High-ticket clients. Paid speaking gigs. Media appearances. Partnership opportunities with other industry leaders.

Write Your Money-Making Book THIS Year

If you’re tired of watching others in your industry publish pretty paperweights of useless fluff while your amazing book sits unwritten for another year, now is the perfect time to take action.

Stop putting off writing your book because the process feels overwhelming or because you’re “not a writer.” With the right framework, you can transform your expertise into a page-turning business asset that readers love and that generates real results for your business.

The world doesn’t need another forgettable business book. It needs YOUR unique expertise presented in a way that creates genuine transformation for your readers while building your authority.

Why This Matters Now More Than Ever

In an increasingly digital world where everyone seems to have a course or a podcast, a strategically crafted book still stands as the ultimate credibility marker. It’s what separates the aspiring experts from the recognized authorities.

But to leverage this power, your book needs to be more than just a collection of your knowledge. It needs to be structured specifically to build trust, create transformation, and position you as the clear solution to your readers’ challenges.

Follow along for more unfiltered nonfiction book writing and publishing strategies you won’t hear anywhere else. Because when it comes to books that actually build businesses, we’re just built differently.
