Did you see that Ralph Fiennes / Anya Taylor-Joy / Nicholas Hoult movie, The Menu? Loved it. 🤌
This is NOT like that movie.
First off, as I’ve been saying for the past year, and as everyone else is saying now too: Things are different.
- Trust is low—both because people don’t trust businesses, and because they don’t trust their own judgment after getting burned.
- Offer overwhelm has created paralysis. People would rather buy nothing than risk choosing wrong again.
- The sameness isn’t accidental. When everyone follows the same “proven framework,” we get a thousand identical offers.
- But… people aren’t tired of buying—they’re tired of being treated like conversion metrics.
(By the way, have I mentioned how a good book builds trust like nothin’ else?)
And many people will tell you that this means you need to double down on your social posting 👥, offload everything to AI 🤖, get super clear on your uniqueness 🦄, do more live video 📼, raise (or lower) your prices 💸, and on and on and on.
I agree with only 1½ of those.
It just feels like a lot of doom and gloom when we’ve already got enough to worry about in the outer world, right?
Here’s what I’m doing instead… ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
- Simplifying. Because I feel like I’ve been overdoing it and it’s time to focus on the things that matter.
- Staying. I’m not raising my prices OR lowering them.
- Singling. I’m focusing on one platform for visibility + fresh faces, and giving back more to those of you already here. I’ll be posting several times per month to YouTube, and soon I’ll be opening up the free co-writing community for all email subscribers.
- Slowing. I’m working fewer hours. Because we need to keep our nervous systems in check or that energy will leak into our messaging and no one wants to buy from desperate and hype-y people. When I work with my clients on their books, this is ALWAYS an integral focus for our coaching.
So here’s the (simplified) menu:
Free stuff → Start here if you’re starting to consider a book:

Signature programs ($1k – $2500) → For when you’re ready to actually write it, not just think about it anymore:
- 5-Star Manuscript Map for writing a damn good book
- Publish & Prosper for publishing—Waitlist Here
One-on-One Coaching ($1200 – $15k) → The whole thing with me personally.
Writing, publishing, marketing. Telegram access, feedback on chapters, live calls. I’ve added flexibility to suit your needs—work with me month-to-month, for a quarter, or 6 month containers, based on your specific needs and timeline. Check out Author Atlas 1:1 Coaching. (this page is getting a refresh soon, so please forgive any mentions of it only being offered as a 6-month container).
Instead of pumping out dozens of new things each year, I keep all of these updated with the latest data from both my own clients + myself, and the market as a whole.
I do have a few other things in the works, but we’re going for quality over quantity as usual. You’ll never see a HUGE shop from me.
And as your business-savvy book bestie, I want to ask you:
Are you simplifying? Are you staying consistent and convinced of your value, even if things are shifting? Are you singling out your best place to show up and showing up there? Are you slowing down, instead of panicking and adding more into your to-do list?
I hope so.
