You've been meaning to write this book for a while.

A desk in the evening with a monthly calendar on the computer screen showing writing, editing and launch prep tasks, a candle, a coffee mug, and a handwritten to-do list
  • You’ve started it more than once, and each start ended in the same half-finished doc.
  • Every week you block time to write, and every week a client call, a school pickup, or a last-minute deadline takes it.
  • The course or template you bought for this is still sitting in your downloads.
  • Part of you worries that putting your method in a book gives away what clients pay you for.
  • It also crosses your mind that your book could sound like every other book on the shelf.

It’s call day, and the call is already on your calendar, so you don’t have to decide whether today is a writing day. You log in, say hi, and we spend part of the call on coaching and part of it writing together. The question that stalled you last week gets answered, because you asked it on the call.

The rest of your writing happens in the margins. The margins look like twenty minutes between client calls, a dog walk, or the metal bleachers at your kid’s swim meet. A client of mine finished her entire manuscript that way.

“so approachable, doable, and honestly, exciting.”

Working with Holly has made writing my very first book feel so approachable, doable, and honestly, exciting. As a first time author her tools, maps, and structure have broken the whole process into bite-sized pieces that I can actually tackle and bring together.

And beyond her incredible strategy, Holly is just such a joy to work with — encouraging, smart, approachable, and genuinely invested in the process. I’m so grateful for her partnership and support as I write, publish, and launch my first book this coming February!

Here's what happens when you write a Damn Good Book.↓

  • Speaking opportunities that pay 4- and 5-figure fees far beyond the local lunch-and-learn circuit where your expertise gets undervalued at $500-1000 per event. Event organizers book published authors first—and they pay them more because a book stacked on the table at the back of the room signals established expertise.
  • Media attention from publications like USA Today, Forbes, and BBC because journalists on deadline need credible sources, and your book becomes the thing that gets you quoted. You’re the author podcast hosts are looking for when they need an expert guest for next week’s episode. (Much better than sliding into strangers’ DMs hoping someone notices you.)
  • Clients who arrive already convinced they need to work with you because they’ve read your methodology, dog-eared the pages, and decided you’re the expert they want. Sales calls shift from “let me explain what I do” to “when can we get started,” which makes signing clients a lot easier.
  • The kind of legacy that reaches around the globe and brings you international clients and recognition. Other people start carrying your ideas for you: professionals pay to get certified in your method, organizations buy boxes of copies of your book to hand out, and universities add it to their courses. Readers who reach the last chapter find your course or digital program waiting as the next step. Your ideas get a permanent home that keeps working long after you’ve published it.
  • Automatic credibility with readers and industry colleagues that you can’t fake and competitors can’t match. A book with your name on the spine carries weight that social media presence simply doesn’t—it shows people you’re someone worth paying attention to.

You'll join that exclusive 3% of entrepreneurs who actually finish their books instead of staying in the 'someday I'll write my book' loop.

My students & clients prove this over & over

4-figure

speaking fees, booked all over the country

The health coach who went from only booking local gigs to booking four-figure speaking engagements all over the country. Before her book, she was pitching event organizers again and again and getting ghosted. Six months after publishing, organizers were reaching out to her first. Same expertise—but now she had the cred to be booked far beyond the local circuit.

$1K–$5K

in book sales in the first month or two

The clients who made $1K-$5K just in book sales in their first month or two while barely doing any marketing because their books were selling themselves. Readers were sharing them, recommending them, and in one leadership consultant’s case, buying her $5K leadership intensive before they even finished chapter 3. That’s what happens when your book is actually good.

3 days

to draft a whole manuscript after 6 months stuck

The business coach who’d tried to write her book for seven years and had been stuck on the same intro chapter for over six months until she used the Book Map process. Once she could see exactly what belonged where and why, she drafted her entire manuscript in three days. (She texted me a photo of her finished book with about fifteen fire emojis.)

“200 sales in week one and an Amazon bestseller badge”

Working with Holly to write my first book unlocked the author I always wanted to be. It was a bucket list dream for me, even before I knew what book I wanted to write. But once the idea finally landed, I was completely stuck on what exactly to say.

The Book Map was the first breakthrough and showed me how to weave my knowledge with excellent storytelling. I wrote my first draft of 53,000 words in just 40 hours.

Holly was with me every step of the way. With her support, we planned a launch that got me 200 sales in week one and an Amazon bestseller badge in multiple categories.

As I sit here, I’m working inside the amazing Book Map on my third book, using the framework that makes writing a book just make sense. If you’re looking for a book coach who cares about your book as much as you do, Holly is the one. Between her process for writing and publishing and her support and hand-holding when you need it, she’s the only one I trust to help my ideas become published books that last forever.

Why I don't want you writing this alone

When I was in grad school, I got SO into hot yoga. I went twice a week, every week, I never skipped, and during that period of time I was, of course, pretty fit. But when I moved, I lost the studio I loved and I couldn’t find one I liked as much, so I stopped going. And then when we moved again, I tried finding a studio again and I still couldn’t find one I liked. And somehow I went from being a committed yoga-girl to never quite getting back into it, because going to the studio was what kept me motivated.

A lot of people would tell me to just go download whatever yoga influencer of the day had a workout program’s app and do their yoga videos. Or just follow along on YouTube yoga videos, and I swear I tried, y’all. I tried so hard. But it just never worked, no matter how many times I tried a new app or paid for a new program. And the reason is, when I’m at home by myself with no yoga teacher looking over me to make sure I’m not just lying there in shavasana the whole time, I get distracted by my phone, or I go change the laundry out, or I get bored, or I decide it’s too hard and I don’t want to do it right now.

But in real studio yoga class, with other people in the room who are going to see me if I quit, and a teacher who’s going to see me if I slack off (even though she’d never say anything, because yoga is gentle like that), I’ve still got that little urge of guilt nudging me to put in everything I should, and so I follow through and complete the classes.

And it wasn’t until we moved to where we live now that I FINALLY found a yoga studio I liked again. Just me and eight or so grandmas in the room, no weird rave music, no turning it into a Zumba class, no powerhouse yoga that makes me feel like I’m going to throw up. It’s not hot yoga, but it’s a class I enjoy and the accountability of having my teacher, Lisa, there at the front of the room, and knowing she believes in me and she wants me to push myself gently, and listen to my body, and just do my best is what keeps me showing up and actually getting exercise.

I sold the 5-Star Book Map as a self-paced course for years, and it’s a really good program. Writing a book can still feel scary when you’re doing it alone, without anyone giving you feedback.

I am here to be your Lisa. I want you to do your best. I want you to push yourself just enough, not so much you’re burning yourself out. But enough that you’re writing a Damn Good Book in these 90 days.

People who show up to co-writing write faster, and they write better books.

The data backs up the finishing part. In a study of more than 1.3 million enrollments across more than 27,000 online courses, the course platform Ruzuku found that the completion rate was 27% higher in courses where students went through the lessons as a group, on a set schedule, than in self-paced courses (53.4% compared with 41.9%).

That’s why I made the Damn Good Book sprint a group, and why the 5-Star Book Map now comes only with the sprint or 1:1 coaching.

“Holly is who you want in your corner.”

If you’re trying to write a book and keep second-guessing yourself, Holly is who you want in your corner. She asked the perfect guiding questions, brought serious expertise on the publishing process, and created a support system that made me feel steady and confident as I moved forward. I left our work together with clarity and momentum.

Damn Good Book™ Program

A 90-day sprint to write your Damn Good Book™.

A 90-Day Small-Group Nonfiction Book Coaching Program with 1:1 Support to Help You Write a Book That Changes Readers' Lives and Grows Your Business

You know your work creates change. You've built something that matters.

But you're done watching less experienced authors land the speaking gigs, media coverage, and premium clients you've earned.

A desk in the evening with a manuscript open on the computer screen, highlighted edits and comments in the margin, a coffee mug, and a notebook

Unfortch, Most People Take One of These Expensive Detours First

❌ Falling for the “write your book in a weekend” promises that flood your Instagram ads.

These “books” are usually shorter than most restaurant menus, and good luck getting anyone to recommend something or upgrade to a high-ticket program from something with no real substance.

❌ Spending months creating what feels like your masterpiece, only to get it back from an editor looking like a crime scene

Red ink everywhere, structural issues you never saw coming, and the soul-crushing realization that you’re basically starting over after months of work. (Bonus points if they tell you your book “lacks focus” without explaining what that actually means.)

❌ Finishing your manuscript with that triumphant “I DID IT” feeling, then slowly realizing it doesn’t actually make you any money

Wrong angle for your ideal clients, no bridge to your offers, and whoops, you’ve just written the world’s most expensive blog post that brings you exactly zero clients.

❌ Dropping $13K-$50K+ on a ghostwriter thinking you’re buying guaranteed success, only to get back something that sounds like it was written by ChatGPT having a bad day

(and these days: probably was). Most ghostwriters have never built a business, let alone written a book that converts readers into clients. You get business buzzwords you’d never say in real life and strategies that sound impressive but don’t actually work to make you six figures in new sales.

❌ Trying to write it on your own, in whatever time is left after clients, family, and everything else.

You block the time on your calendar with the best intentions, but when nobody’s expecting you to show up, a client call usually wins, and “this quarter” turns into “next year” before you notice.

Good thing you don’t have to learn any of these lessons the hard way. Let me show you.

Write Your Book →

I can help you avoid all of that because I've seen every angle of this industry... and I can spot a book that's gonna fail in 5 minutes

Holly Ostrout lying on the floor, smiling and holding an open book above her face Holly Ostrout, nonfiction book coach, sitting on a white floor in a purple sequin blazer

I’ve spent over a decade in the book world, and I didn’t get here by accident. I started wanting to be an artist, but life had other plans. So I got the business degree, took the stable job, and hated every minute of it. But I was secretly writing my first book and obsessing over what made some books unforgettable while others put you to sleep.

That obsession led me to grad school for my master’s in publishing, where I wrote my thesis on what actually makes someone buy a book—the split-second psychology behind purchasing decisions. While other people were theorizing about books, I was studying the exact moment someone decides to buy.

Writing & publishing four books myself taught me what every author goes through: you’ll stare at blank pages, you’ll question everything, and you’ll wonder if your ideas will actually translate to the page. I also spent a few years as a ghostwriter, which taught me something important: you can’t just “write what you know” and hope it converts readers into clients. The writing might be pretty, but without strategy, it doesn’t work for your business.

Then, traditional publishing showed me the other extreme. When I took over CliffsNotes, it was barely breathing. I rebuilt it from the ground up and drove it from forgotten to nearly $1M in sales in under a year. Beautiful writing means nothing if it doesn’t serve the reader and the business.

You can’t edit your way out of deep structural problems—you have to build it right from the start.

That’s why I created something totally different.

Write Your Damn Good Book →

Take one of my clients, for example...

7 years

of false starts

11

book proposals

0

finished manuscripts

She was a multi-million dollar coach who’d been creating written content for years. She was absolutely convinced that writing a book would be straightforward. After all, she cranked out compelling content daily.

Eleven book proposals later, she was still stuck. Publishers were interested, agents were calling, but she couldn’t actually finish the damn thing. She’d start strong, get three chapters in, then hit a wall and start completely over. This happened for seven years. (Yes, seven. I’m not exaggerating.)

By the time she found me, she was equal parts frustrated and mortified. Here she was, someone who could write killer sales copy and engaging posts without breaking a sweat, but she couldn’t figure out how to structure a book that actually made sense.

The problem wasn’t her writing—it was that she was following the advice everyone gives. Start with what you know, write chapter by chapter, figure it out as you go. That approach works great for people who want a mediocre book that sits on shelves doing nothing.

My approach flips the whole thing. Instead of starting with what you want to say, we start with what your reader needs to experience. Instead of hoping your book will somehow work for your business, we reverse-engineer it from your business goals from day one.

This coach went from seven years of false starts to a completed manuscript faster than she’d ever thought possible…

That's how the Damn Good Book sprint works. And it's nothing like what other book coaches teach.

“It’s a completely different book than it would have been.”

I have done loads of writing before … but … nothing new was coming out. … I’ve always written the same stuff, right? It’s always the same, and it ends up going to teaching. … And it’s turned out very different. Like the purpose points I now have are really quite different, but they’re so good.

My writing would have been infused by the mess of knowing what I know now. But you untangled it with your brilliant method. … It’s a completely different book than it would have been. … You’re amazing. You’re an utter genius.

Before I had a surface level understanding of it, and now I’m getting a deep understanding of it, which can only come from working with you. … If they want to write a really, really good book, I think they need to work with you, because it draws out deeper connections.

Heidi Marke

Heidi Marke

The Gentle Rebel Coach

You've probably been told to "start with your why" then put it in an outline.

Cool. What does that even mean? 🙃

When you’re trying to organize years of expertise into a book that actually works for your business, “start with your why” doesn’t help you figure out what goes in chapter 3.

Most nonfiction book coaches will tell you to create an outline—but how do you outline it when you don’t know what belongs where or what your reader actually needs?

We start with "What does my reader need to experience to become my ideal client?" and map out that transformation first—before you write a single word.

We reverse-engineer your entire book from your business goals—what you want it to do, who you want it to attract, and how you want readers to move toward working with you.

The “map” part isn’t just a cute metaphor. You’ll literally see exactly what goes in every chapter, why it goes there, and how it connects to the chapter before and after. No more staring at blank pages wondering what comes next.

Here's how we do it. ⤵

Set Up Your Book So It Gets Finished (& Your Readers BUY Your Programs After)

month 1

This month covers the foundation work that makes every chapter easier to write. You map your whole book, get it audited by me, and start writing with a plan for every page.

  • Pick the topic that attracts the clients you want, by working backward from your signature offer and long-term goals
  • Learn the 6 key factors that decide whether a book gets you booked and hired or sits unread
  • Decide what goes in the book and what stays in your paid programs, so readers finish wanting more of you
  • Choose the lead magnet that moves readers from your book onto your email list
  • Sharpen your angle on your private Book Promise Call until your ideal clients say “I HAVE to read this”
  • Map every chapter with the Heroine’s Journey and 9 Purpose Points, and build your Table of Contents, so readers feel understood and keep turning pages
  • Get your whole Book Map reviewed on your private Book Outline Audit, where I catch structural mistakes before you write a word of Chapter 1
  • Build a writing ritual that fits the schedule you already have, with no 5am wake-ups required, plus the 1 tool that took my client from procrastinating for over 6 months to drafting her entire manuscript in 3 days
  • Draft your introduction

By the end of Month 1, you'll walk away with:

Every chapter mapped and audited by me, a clear topic and Promise, a complete reader funnel designed to turn readers into subscribers and buyers, and your introduction written.

Write Your Damn Good Book (With Coaching and Co-Writing Every Step of the Way)

Writing a book while running a business requires consistent forward movement, not just good intentions. That’s why, from Month 2 on, twice a month you sit down to write with me and other authors, and when you know I’m going to be in there with you, things get done. You write one chapter a week, about 5,000 words, with two group coaching and co-writing calls a month to keep you moving.

  • Learn the chapter-writing techniques that make your expertise read the way you talk, even if you don’t consider yourself a writer
  • Write Chapters 1–4, 1 a week, straight from your Book Map, so every writing session starts with knowing exactly what goes on the page
  • Bring chapters to hot-seat coaching and fix problems while you write, so your manuscript doesn’t come back from an editor looking like a crime scene
  • Workshop your openers, hooks, and transitions with the group, so readers stay with you from the first page of each chapter to the last
  • Write alongside me and the group on 2 coaching and co-writing calls a month, with time on the calendar that’s protected for your book

month 2

By the end of Month 2, you'll walk away with:

Your introduction and 4 chapters written, almost half your book, using proven techniques that keep readers engaged and eager to work with you.

Finish Your Damn Good Book (And Know Exactly What Comes Next)

month 3

This is what separates authors who finish from those who leave manuscripts sitting in Google Drive for years. In this last month, you write your final chapters and finish your first draft. You write Chapters 5 through 9, learn how to polish your manuscript, and mark your finish date.

  • Write Chapters 5–9 with every mini-chapter and Purpose Point already in its spot in your Book Map, so finishing feels like filling in blanks
  • Get a stuck chapter solved in 1 session on the calls, so it never turns into months of false starts
  • Learn how to polish your manuscript and choose your publishing path, so you know your next step the day your draft is done
  • Set your finish date and submit your finished first draft
  • Earn Publish & Prosper ($2,497) free when you submit your finished first draft within your 90 days—terms and conditions apply*

After successfully completing your 90 days, you'll walk away with:

Your finished first draft of the book that can get you booked for the speaking gigs you've been pitching for, quoted by the journalists you've been building toward, and chosen by clients who arrive already convinced they need to work with you.

Write Your Book →

“All you have to do... is fill in those blanks.”

When you write a book, you have all these thoughts that are just scattered, right? … It’s like, oh, okay, where do I go from here? … I really believe you can’t do it on your own. I really need leadership, mentorship, coaching, direction.

What hooked me was, you said that as someone reads the book, the narrative needs to change to them. Now they’re the heroine. … And your roadmap, the way you have it all lined out, … you already have the template ready. All you have to do, me, myself, the writer, is fill in those blanks. And then you keep us guided …

I needed someone outside of my circle in that you could give me a perspective from a professional view of what will the reader read? What will keep the reader engaged? … I’ve had people tell me, Bridget, I got your book. I couldn’t put it down. I think I read it until three in the morning and I just finished it.

Having a book coach such as you to keep me on target, respectful of my emotions, and making me feel safe, and that has been key for this process to happen. Because there were times where … I had to take a break, and it’s okay, but you didn’t let me lose the momentum.

You'll Know Everything You Need to Write a Damn Good Book.

5-Star Book Map Testimonial

The curriculum gives you the complete roadmap—from nailing your topic to writing your final chapter.

You’ll know exactly what belongs in your book, how to structure it so readers can’t put it down, and how to write it without burning out or second-guessing every sentence.

And then there’s the part that actually gets it written.

This is what separates this program from every other book course: you don’t just get the steps and ‘good luck figuring it out’ for your book. You get me—live with you and the group twice a month, and checking your work at the critical decision points so you don’t waste months writing the wrong book or building on the wrong foundation.

Here's What's Included ⤵

Included: 2 Live Group Calls a Month

Join two live group calls a month for all three months, each one part coaching and part co-writing. The coaching gives you real-time troubleshooting when you hit roadblocks. The co-writing gives you dedicated time to actually write—with accountability and momentum built in.

And since everyone on the call is writing a book at the same time, you’re never the only one working on yours.

The vibe is cozy, like writing in a really nice coffee shop where everyone else is working on a book too.

Bonus #1: Private Book Promise Call

After you complete your topic work, hop on a private thirty-minute call with me to make sure your book angle is absolutely killer. I’ll help you choose between your top topic options and sharpen your angle until it practically sells itself.

Most people choose the boring version of their idea—or worse, the angle that attracts browsers but repels buyers. Six months in, they realize their book appeals to people who’d never actually hire them.

Thirty minutes with me and you’ll know you’ve got the angle that makes your ideal clients say “I HAVE to read this book” instead of “Oh, another book about that.” You’ll walk away confident your topic will actually work—not just sound good to you.

Bonus #2: Private Book Outline Audit

After you complete your outlining homework, I’ll review your Book Map, and then you’ll hop on a private thirty-minute call with me to go through it together, catching any structural mistakes before you start writing.

I’ll walk through your outline section by section—spotting issues that would require expensive rewrites later, repositioning your best client stories for maximum impact, and strengthening the moments where readers think “I need to work with her.”

You’ll start writing knowing your structure works. No wondering halfway through if you should’ve organized everything differently.

Bonus #3: Private SOS Call

Book one private 30-minute call with me whenever you need it during your 90-day sprint, for the moments when you’re stuck, spiraling, need a reset, or want quick feedback on something.

Even with a clear roadmap, you’ll hit moments where you’re not sure which direction serves your business better. Maybe you’ve narrowed your book promise down to two options but can’t decide which one positions you for the clients you actually want. Maybe your book structure makes sense on paper but something feels off and you can’t pinpoint it.

Instead of spinning your wheels for weeks, you’ll get expert guidance that keeps you moving forward.

Write Your Damn Good Book →

So how does the program stack up to everything else out there?

Most Book Coaches:

Damn Good Book:

Remember that coach I mentioned...

who'd been stuck for 7 years with 11 failed book proposals?

3 days

to write her entire first draft

Here’s what happened when she finally had the right map to follow: She wrote her entire first draft in three days. She was so fired up after our Book Mapping session that it all just flowed out—like her ideas had been waiting behind a dam for years, and our work together finally broke it open.

After seven years of false starts, she finally had a completed manuscript that she was proud of and that her publishers loved—and more importantly, one that positioned her expertise in a way that would actually work for her business.

That’s what becomes possible when you finally stop circling the same book and start with a map that gets it done.

“Worth every penny!”

“Working with Holly has opened my eyes to how much I didn’t know about writing a book! As someone who creates written content daily, I thought, “How hard can it be to turn this into a book?” I was wrong—totally wrong. Holly has simplified the process, and I am finally submitting chapters to my publisher with ease.

What’s even better is that she is one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve met regarding how to write a book. Take my word for it: if you’ve got a message to share but have never written a book before, you need Holly. She will save you hours and hours of lost time and frustration.

Holly is the answer you didn’t know you needed to finally complete your book, and working with her is worth every penny! If you get the chance, don’t hesitate—hire Holly today.”

Who the Program Best Serves

✅ This program is designed for you if:

You’re a female, feminine-aligned, or nonbinary coach, consultant, or speaker who’s built something real—whether that’s a 6-figure business or you’re getting close to that milestone in the next few months.

You likely have a $1000+ signature offer that consistently attracts clients who get tangible results from your work.

You help people transform their lives or businesses through your authentic methodology, framework, or approach that you’ve developed from your years of experience.

You want to write commercial nonfiction—thought leadership, how-to, business, leadership, finance, personal growth, health and wellness, spiritual guidance with practical applications, or even storytelling cookbooks.

You get more done when someone’s expecting you: a plan for every week, a standing time to write, and other experts working on their books right alongside you.

❌ This approach isn't right for you if:

You’re still in the early stages of building your business or haven’t yet created consistent income. Your book will be strongest when it’s built on proven experience and results—think of this as the expansion of success you’ve already created rather than the foundation.

You want to write fiction, academic research, or a memoir without actionable guidance for readers. This system is designed for business books that transform both readers and your business. Hybrid memoirs with practical application absolutely work with this approach.

You’re looking for publishing and marketing training before your book is written. This program focuses specifically on getting your manuscript written strategically, and if you finish your first draft within your 90 days, you earn my Publish & Prosper program to publish and launch it. Terms and conditions apply.

You want AI to write your book or you’re looking for shortcuts to ‘bestseller’ status. This is for entrepreneurs who want to write their own authentic expertise into a book that reflects the quality of work they’re already known for.

Common Questions

What does a nonfiction book coach do?

A nonfiction book coach helps you plan, write, and finish your book yourself. I help you choose the angle that makes readers want your book, map every chapter before you write, and keep you moving with feedback and deadlines. You write it in your own words, so the book sounds like you and builds trust with your readers.

How much does nonfiction book coaching cost?

It depends on how much support you want. The Damn Good Book program is $3,497, or 3 payments of $1,279, and includes three months of live group calls, private calls with me, and the Book Map system. Pricing for my 1:1 Author Alchemy coaching is on the Author Alchemy coaching page.

What’s the difference between a book coach, a ghostwriter, and an editor?

A ghostwriter writes the book for you. An editor improves a draft you’ve already written. A book coach helps you write it yourself, from the first idea to a finished draft, and (depending on the program) gives you feedback on the chapters you’ve written, so the book is in your words and you know how to do it again.

How long does it take to write a nonfiction book with a coach?

In the Damn Good Book program, you map your book in Month 1, write your introduction and first chapters in Month 2, and finish your first draft in Month 3. One client who had been stuck on her intro chapter for over six months drafted her whole manuscript in three days once her Book Map was done. Of course, three days isn’t typical, but it shows how much faster the writing goes when you have the right map and the right coach behind you.

What is the Damn Good Book program?

Damn Good Book is my 90-day small-group nonfiction book coaching sprint. Over three months, you map, write, and finish the first draft of your book with two live group calls a month, private calls with me, the Book Map system, and a printed workbook mailed to your door.

When does the program start?

You get immediate access to Modules 1 and 2 after purchase so you can get started immediately. After seven days, the remaining modules unlock automatically. Your three months of group coaching and co-writing begin on the next start date, which is the first or third Monday of the month. If you join during the presale, you start Monday, January 4, 2027, and your modules open that day. Before then, you join the live workshop and bootcamp, so you start January 4 with your book's goal and topic already set. Enroll by the Thursday before a start date to begin that Monday, and you'll schedule your private calls during onboarding. This timeline respects that you're running a business and need flexibility while ensuring you get expert guidance when you're actively implementing.

Can I start at a later date?

You can, but I'd encourage you to start now while the momentum is fresh. You'll have life-of-the-program access to all content, so if life gets busy, nothing disappears. Your three months of group calls begin on your start date (the first or third Monday of the month), but the modules, dashboard, and templates are yours to revisit whenever you need them. Most clients find that starting—even slowly—beats waiting for the "perfect" time that never comes.

If you feel you truly cannot start immediately but still want to purchase now, email me and let's work out a start date for you that works for both of us. We must agree prior to purchase if you'll be starting at a later date.

How long is the program?

Your active program is three months: two live group calls a month (each part coaching, part co-writing), plus your private calls with me. This timeframe is designed for entrepreneurs who want results without dragging the process out indefinitely. You keep life-of-the-program access to all content and resources, and if you want more time on the calls after your three months, you can keep going with the group on a quarterly or yearly plan. Most clients find this creates the perfect balance of support and accountability without overwhelming their existing business commitments.

What happens after my 90 days?

If you want to keep writing with the group, you can keep going for $837 a quarter or $2,997 a year, with the same two calls a month. If you join by December 31, 2026, your rate is $597 a quarter or $2,049 a year for as long as you stay. There's no commitment past your three months. You can cancel anytime, and your access runs through the end of the quarter or year you've paid for. Payments aren't prorated or refunded. And if you finished your first draft within your 90 days, you also start Publish & Prosper. If you decide you want a more high-touch experience, I offer a private price for moving into 1:1 coaching and/or publishing with me after doing the sprint.

How do I earn Publish & Prosper?

Finish your first draft within your 90 days, following the framework you learn in the program, and submit it to me by the last day of your 90 days. Full terms and conditions on how to receive Publish & Prosper for free are inside the program. If your draft isn't finished by then, you can still purchase it at the alumni price.

How is the program delivered?

The modules are self-paced video training covering over six hours of strategic content, plus your proprietary Book Map dashboard and templates—all inside your private course portal. You can choose to absorb everything quickly or pace yourself, though most successful clients dive into the training within the first week to get the most out of their three months. Then, twice a month, you join me and a small group of authors live for coaching and co-writing. Sharing your work on a call is always optional, so you get the momentum of writing alongside other authors without putting anything on display before you're ready.

Do I have to share my writing on the group calls?

No. Hot-seat coaching is always optional. You can bring a chapter to the group when you want feedback, or you can just write and listen. Either way, you still get your private calls with me.

When are the group calls?

I aim to hold one morning call and one afternoon call each month, so most schedules can make at least one. Each call runs one to two hours, part coaching and part writing together. I share the exact times during your onboarding. I can't promise the times will work for every schedule, so if you're in Australia or another far-off time zone, email me before you buy and we'll check together.

What if I miss a call?

If you need to move one of your private calls, reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and we'll find a new time. A private call missed without rescheduling at least 24 hours ahead is forfeited. If you miss a group call, bring your questions to the next one, and keep going in between with the modules, your Book Map, and your Claude-built tools.

Do I have lifetime access?

You have life-of-the-program access, which means you can revisit the content as long as the program remains current and relevant to the market. This is more valuable than hollow "lifetime" promises because it ensures you're always working with up-to-date strategies rather than outdated advice that no longer serves the publishing landscape. The frameworks are timeless, but the delivery and examples evolve to stay effective for your business goals.

Am I a good fit?

If you're an established entrepreneur with a proven methodology and clients who get real results, you're in the right place. You need enough business experience to have something valuable to write about—this isn't about helping you figure out what you do, it's about turning your existing expertise into a strategic nonfiction book. The sweet spot is entrepreneurs who've moved beyond the startup phase and are ready to turn their knowledge into a permanent asset that works for their business.

What happens after I purchase?

You'll receive immediate access to Modules 1 and 2, plus a simple contract to sign within twenty-four hours—standard business practice that protects both of us while keeping things professional. Once the contract is returned, you'll complete a brief onboarding form about your book concept so I can provide relevant feedback, then schedule your bonus calls and access your Book Map dashboard. If you join during the presale, you'll get your registration links for the live workshop and bootcamp right away, and your modules open on January 4. The entire process is designed for business owners who understand that taking smart steps makes everything run smoother while getting you into the strategic work quickly.

What if I need support with publishing and marketing my book?

Many clients upgrade to my Author Alchemy 1:1 coaching program after experiencing how much faster they progress with strategic guidance. It includes everything: publishing strategy, marketing that converts readers into clients, plus six to twelve months of private support throughout your entire journey, based on your timeline needs. If you finish your first draft within your 90 days, you can earn my Publish & Prosper program, which walks you through publishing and marketing your book. Terms and conditions apply.

For entrepreneurs who just want extra accountability and a bit of brainstorming during the writing phase, I also offer add-on Voxer containers for real-time support between our calls. Most clients know pretty quickly whether they want to move faster with more access, and I'm happy to discuss which option fits your situation.

Should I choose the Damn Good Book sprint or 1:1 coaching?

If you want me with you from your first outline all the way to your published book, with the publishing, design, and everything after “The End” handled together, that’s my 1:1 book coaching. If you want your book written in 90 days, with a plan for every week, live sessions with me, and a small group of experts writing alongside you, that’s the Damn Good Book sprint, my group nonfiction book coaching program.

How much time does this require weekly?

Plan for five to ten hours of "book work" per week during your three months. Once you're writing, that's about one chapter (roughly 5,000 words) a week. "Book work" includes watching modules, completing assignments, outlining your book, and writing the book.

Some clients batch this into one or two focused sessions per week; others fit it into the margins of their existing schedule (I give you tips for both). The beauty of this approach is that once you have your strategic foundation mapped out, the actual writing becomes much faster because you know exactly what goes where and why. This time investment now saves months of writing in circles later.

Do I need to have my book idea figured out already?

Not completely, but you should have a general sense of your expertise area and who you help. Module 2 and your Book Promise Call are specifically designed to help you nail down your exact angle and positioning. If you're torn between multiple book ideas or unsure how to position your expertise, that's exactly what we solve in the early stages. However, if you have no idea what you'd write about or you're still figuring out your core business methodology, you'll want to establish that foundation first. I can help you with that through the Book Bestie™ Hotline.

What if I've started books before and never finished?

You're not alone—many of my clients describe themselves as "really good at starting things and not so good at finishing them." (I'm ADHD, too. 😘) That's exactly why this program exists. The combination of a clear structure, regular feedback, and built-in accountability means you're not relying on willpower alone. The Book Map gives you a specific container for every idea so your brain stops spinning, and the twice-monthly group calls keep you moving forward instead of stalling out at chapter 3. This system is designed for busy entrepreneurs who need a clear plan + structure to finish what they start.

Will my book give away too much and cannibalize my paid programs?

This is one of the most common fears—and one of the first things we solve. Module 2 specifically covers how to structure your book so it creates demand for your offers rather than replacing them. The goal is a book that gives readers genuine transformation while making them want more from you specifically. When it's done right, your book becomes the thing that makes people say "I need to work with her" instead of "I got what I needed, thanks."

What is the refund policy?

You have 7 days from the day you buy to decide, and those 7 days start on your purchase date, even if your first group call is later. If within those 7 days you decide this isn’t the right fit, let me know right away and I’ll refund your payment minus $99. That $99 covers the Stripe fees I pay on your purchase (Stripe doesn’t return them when I issue a refund) and the course content you’ve already received. If you’re on the payment plan, I’ll refund your first payment minus the same $99 and cancel your future payments.

After 7 days, all sales are final.

The 7-day window is not a test drive. When you join, I’m fully invested in you finishing your book, and I expect you to show up just as committed. If you’re not sure the Damn Good Book sprint is right for you, hop on a 20-minute walkthrough with me before you buy.

What if I have more questions?

I would love to answer them. Email me.

Your expertise has been waiting long enough.

Every day your ideas stay scattered across presentations, client sessions, and content that disappears in twenty-four hours, you’re missing the opportunities that come to people with books. The speaking gigs, media coverage, and premium clients who prefer working with published authorities.

You know what happens when you keep pushing this to next quarter, next year, or “when things settle down.” (Spoiler: things don’t settle down. They get busier.) The opportunities keep going to the people who took action while you stayed in planning mode.

But here’s what can shift when you finally give your expertise the strategic home it deserves: speaking opportunities can start coming to you instead of you pitching for them. Clients can arrive pre-educated on your methodology and ready to invest. Your rates can stop getting questioned because your published authority speaks for itself.

Six months from now, you can either be holding your strategically crafted book that opens doors your work alone never could—or you can still be watching others get the recognition and opportunities your expertise deserves.

Your ideas are ready. Your business is ready. The only question left is whether you’re ready to stop being everyone’s best-kept secret.

As with any personal growth program your results with the Damn Good Book program may vary from these consumer testimonials. Your results will be based on variables such as your level of effort, personal qualities, knowledge, skills, and a host of other factors. Since these factors differ for each individual, Books & Alchemy LLC cannot guarantee your success or results, nor is Books & Alchemy LLC responsible for your success or failure. The 5-Star Book Map is not a “magic bullet” for writing your book. It takes effort and dedication. Books & Alchemy LLC provides you with a process to write your book and these students agree.
